Introduction to Phynxa

What Phynxa is, what an AI voice agent can do for your business, and what is and is not built yet.

Phynxa lets you build an AI voice agent: a phone assistant that answers calls to your business number, speaks with your callers, and can look things up, book appointments, save leads and pass the call to a person. You set it up from a web dashboard. You do not write code.

What you can do with it

  • Answer calls on a phone number you already own (from Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Vonage or Exotel), at any hour.
  • Place calls to a contact, to a scheduled time, or to a list of numbers (a campaign). Outbound calling runs on Twilio.
  • Talk to visitors on your website with a voice button you add with one line of code. Visitors speak to the same agent that answers your phone. See Website voice widget.
  • Call website visitors back with a callback form you add with one line of code. Visitors leave their details and the agent phones them now or at a time they choose. See Website callback form.
  • Speak seven languages: English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Answer from your own material by attaching a knowledge base of files, pasted text or web pages.
  • Take action during the call with tools: your own API endpoints, plus connected apps such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Calendly, Gmail and Slack.
  • Collect details with a form (name, phone, appointment time and anything else you define) and review them under Appointments.
  • Hand over to a person (Twilio calls) or to another agent in your workspace.
  • Review every call: a transcript, a summary, the caller's intent and tone, an outcome and what the call cost.
  • Send finished calls to your own systems with a webhook, or control Phynxa from code with an API key.

What to know before you start

Partly built. Some parts of the product are not finished, and these guides say so on the page where it matters. The ones to know up front:

  • Calls are not recorded as audio. You get a transcript, not a recording.
  • Webhooks send one event today: call.completed.
  • Of the 19 connected apps, 11 can be used by an agent during a call. The others can be connected and tested only.
  • Handing a call to a person works on Twilio numbers. Other providers can answer calls but cannot bridge a transfer.
  • You buy phone numbers from your own provider. Phynxa does not sell numbers.

How to read these guides

If you are new, follow Getting started in order. It takes you from a new account to a working test call in about fifteen minutes. After that, each section is a reference for one part of the dashboard, and Troubleshooting lists symptoms with checks and fixes.

Every guide uses the names of buttons and menus exactly as they appear in the dashboard. If something here does not match what you see, tell us.
