Audio problems

Silence, choppy or delayed audio, echo, talking over the caller, and one-way sound on calls.

What you will achieve

You will identify whether an audio problem comes from the phone line, the speech services, or the agent's settings.

First, find where it happens

TestIf it is fineIf it is bad
Talk in the browserThe agent and voice work; look at the phone lineThe agent or voice settings are the cause
A call from a mobile phoneThe provider and agent work; look at the original caller's lineThe phone side is the cause

Browser test problems

  • No sound in Talk. The browser asked for microphone access: allow it. Check the page is not muted and the right output device is chosen.
  • The microphone is not detected. Close other apps using it, then reload.

Testing

Say a long sentence, then a short one, then interrupt the agent. A healthy agent hears all three.

Expected result

The agent speaks promptly, clearly, and stops when you talk over it.
