Google Meet
Connect Google Meet so an agent can create an instant meeting link or schedule a meeting with a Meet link and email the invite.
What you will achieve
An agent will be able to create a Meet link on demand, or schedule a meeting that carries a Meet link and invites the guests.
Overview and use cases
- Offer a video consultation straight away.
- Book a video appointment and send the invitation.
Prerequisites
- A Google account that can create Meet spaces.
- If Phynxa does not supply the Google app for your workspace, a Google Cloud OAuth client (see Google Calendar for the steps; also enable the Meet API).
Connect it in Phynxa
- Integrations, Connect on Google Meet.
- Press Sign in with Google (or paste the Client ID and secret first), choose your account and approve.
- The card shows Connected.
Permissions and settings
Scopes: meetings.space.created (create Meet spaces), calendar.events (add the Meet link to a calendar event) and userinfo.email.
Use it in a call
| Action | What it does | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Create meeting link | Creates a Meet space right now and returns its link. | In the background |
| Schedule meeting | Adds a calendar event with a Meet link and emails the guests the invitation. Needs a title, start, end and time zone. | In the background |
Test it
Test connection, then ask the agent in Chat for an instant meeting link and open it.
Expected result
A working meet.google.com link, and for a scheduled meeting an event on your calendar with the link in the invitation.
Troubleshooting
- A scheduled link is slow to appear. Google may still be creating it; ask again in a moment.
- 403 or access errors. Reconnect and approve every permission; enable the Meet API in your Google Cloud project if you use your own app.
Security and credentials
Tokens are stored encrypted; revoke at your Google account's security page. Remove forgets the connection here.
